About Gizen Farms Ltd
When it started
The Gizen family have been farming in the RM of Happyland area since 1911 when my great grandfather homesteaded North of Prelate, Saskatchewan.
My great grandparents, the Steier’s, on my mother’s side also homesteaded in the RM of Happyland area South of Prelate in 1910.
Gizen Farms, the fourth generation, continues to farm the land on both sides of the family as well as rent land from extended family members.
Currently the fifth generation are involved in the farm.
What we do
We are a pedigreed seed farm located at Prelate, Saskatchewan. We produce pedigreed cereal , pulse and oilseeds for seed production and we custom clean seed.
The Team
Our team is made up of family , friends and four legged pals.
